The blog hop begins tomorrow and I want to give you a little preview of what you can expect to see here at Frighten Me! For five days, October 10--October 15, you'll see one frightening story in five parts. On Friday, I'll give away a code for an audio book at Audible.com. This code is for the anthology Blood in the Rain and is for ADULTS ONLY. To enter the contest, go to Frighten Me's Facebook page (you can click the little Facebook icon in the upper right-hand corner), give it a "like", and make a comment on the wall. Tell me which vampire is your favorite and why. I'll pick a winner. It's as simple as that. Also, you don't need to subscribe to Audible to get the book, you can get it by signing up for a free preview.
If you'd like to leave a comment, please click the word "comment" below this post.
When you're finished here, visit the other authors in the blog hop by clicking their pictures. I hope you have a SCARY good time!

This week's Master is a man with a fantastic Horror name. His name is Howard Phillips Lovecraft and in my estimation, he is the inventor of weird.
H.P. Lovecraft was born in Providence, Rhode Island in the year 1890. His father suffered from a nervous breakdown and died in Butler, Hospital. His mother was to die some years later in the same manner. Lovecraft was a friend to Robert E. Howard, the famous creator of Conan the Barbarian. He was mentor to Robert Bloch and many others. Bloch seems to be his favorite, for he featured a story in which he killed Bloch off. Bloch had done the same thing to him! He taught Bloch much about writing.
Lovecraft was a prolific writer. He created the Mythos of Cthulu, the Dagon and many other fantastic and strange creations. A complete listing of works can be found at http://www.hplovecraft.com, as can a wonderful
biography and even a list of misconceptions about his life. Please, check out this most interesting website. It can point you in the direction of other sites should you choose to become an afficianado of Lovecraft.
One of my favorite creations is the tome which is bound in human skin. It is the Necronomicon of which I speak. This book of evil is featured in much Lovecraftian lore and many movies. Who can forget it's appearance in "Army of Darkness". Klattu Vrada N-hghghhg cough cough!
Check out "Dagon", "From Beyond" and the "Dunwich Horror" just to name a few! Then, watch some of those movies that feature the "Necronomicon"!

I Sivart is a man born behind his time. He should have been born a
Victorian gentleman, someone who would assist men like Challenger and Nemo. As
it is, he is a man born of the last century. A man who lives in a state of flux
between Richmond, VA and Washington, DC with two cats and his son. He began
writing in his early teens and his creativity flourished with the help of
fantasy role-playing games. He continues to craft lives of characters in the
same world that was brought to life almost thirty years ago. Travis has written
and published editorials on manners, pipe smoking, and medieval re-enactment, as
well as poetry. He has published many short stories in anthologies, and usually
writes in the Steampunk, Horror, Science Fiction or Medieval Fantasy genres. He
